We are an uninformed citizenry, totally oblivious to the corporate takeover of our government, to America having been transformed into a plutocracy, a totalitarian corporate state. And because we are so ignorant, apathetic, and gullible, we deserve to be deprived of our democracy and rights.
We squandered what our forefathers gave their lives for. We buy into Fox News propaganda, and give mega tax breaks to the rich. We are a race of Eloi, a society of indulgent, stupid, indifferent, lazy, childlike people, only concerned about NASCAR and pizza.
When we hear Cassandra crying aloud, we dismiss her, calling her a liberal, a socialist, a commie. We have been brainwashed by the brand marketing of the Rush Limbaughs, Glenn Becks, Ann Coulters, and other Republican mouthpieces into thinking that anything for the average American is anti-business and therefore no good. What gullible, mindless fools we are.
Last night Rachel Maddow said that we could be currently seeing the irreparable end of the Left wing in America. Rachel, the Left wing died long ago; we are merely witnessing the nailing of the coffin and the burial. Even though Obama sold out the average American with the tax cuts for the rich, the cave-in for a single-payer healthcare system, and his agreement to cut social security and medicare, his approval climbs among the average American.
Obama and Clinton: both centrists and corporatists
In Bill Clinton fashion, Obama has convinced the American public that he cares about them, when he, like Slick Willy, is a centrist and corporatist, maintaining the status quo. So let us raise our glasses and drink a toast to the passing of our democracy and the new world order of a global corporate state. It’s all over and we lost long ago.
